The SM2-861S Interlocking Door Lock is an auxiliary device designed to ensure that the doors in a room cannot be opened simultaneously, thereby ensuring isolation between clean and non-clean areas. The interlocking door lock is also known as an Interlock or Interlock Door Lock.

The SM2-861S Dual Interlocking Door Lock is a high-quality product and possesses features typical of a dual interlocking door lock. It enables the control of the opening and closing of two cleanroom doors simultaneously. When door 1 is opened, door 2 is forcibly locked, and door 2 can only be opened after door 1 has been closed.

Operation of the SM2C Dual Interlocking Door Lock

  • When one door opens, the other door will automatically close, preventing both doors from being opened simultaneously.
  • If one door remains open for an extended period without closing, a warning bell will sound to remind staff to close the door.
  • In case of a power outage, both doors can be manually opened, ensuring user safety.
  • In emergency situations, an emergency button can be pressed to force open the door.

  • The Interlock door control unit will be installed on the ceiling panel, connected to a readily available socket (the shorter the distance between the control unit and the socket, the better, to save wiring costs).
  • Signaling lights will be mounted on the wall panel in an easily observable area when entering/exiting, typically placed next to the panel door.
  • The door latch will be installed underground inside the door frame (requires drilling and concealed wiring) and can be installed on the side or above the door frame.
  • The latch positioning plate will be attached to the door leaf, corresponding to the latch’s installation location.

Additionally, there are some key points to consider during the installation of the interlocking door lock:

  1. Securely install the signal connection wires to the door latch and signaling light. Error Alert: The alarm will sound loudly and continuously.
  2. Align the door latch and latch positioning plate in the same direction (WiFi symbol) on both accessories. Error Alert: The latch won’t operate.
  3. Avoid reversing the signal wires between the signaling light and door latch. Error Alert: Installation failure. Note that the signal wire for the door latch is slightly thicker than the wire for the signaling light, so please take this into account during installation.
  4. Use wire protection boxes and tubing on the ceiling to protect signal wires from damage by insects. Signal wires are different from power wires and can be difficult to reconnect if damaged or severed.
