Details about the SM3-861S Triple Interlock Door Lock

The interlock lock is an auxiliary device that ensures that the doors of a room cannot be opened simultaneously, thereby maintaining isolation between clean and non-clean areas.

SM3-861S Triple Interlock Lock: This type of interlock lock can control the opening and closing of up to 3 doors simultaneously. Specifically, if one door is open, the other 2 doors will be forcibly closed, and if you want to open one door, the other 2 doors must be closed first. If an attempt is made to open door number 2, a warning bell will sound to notify.

Operation of the SM3-861S Triple Interlock Lock

• When one door is opened, the other two doors will automatically close, and all three doors cannot be opened simultaneously.
• If a door remains open for too long without closing, a warning bell will sound to remind employees to close the door, or the other two doors will automatically close.
• In the event of a power outage, all three doors can be opened, ensuring user safety.
• In emergency situations, an emergency button can be pressed to forcibly open the door.

Installation Diagram for the Triple Interlock Lock

• The interlock lock control unit will be installed on the ceiling panel, connected to an available socket (the shorter the distance between the control unit and the socket, the better, to match the power supply cable and save wiring costs).
• The indicator light will be mounted on the wall panel in an easily visible area when entering/exiting, typically located next to the panel door.
• The lock bolt will be installed underground inside the door frame (requires drilling and laying underground cables) and can be installed on the side or top of the door frame.
• The bolt positioning plate will be attached to the door leaf, corresponding to the lock bolt installation area.

Additionally, some installation errors to note for interlock locks are:

1. Securely install the signal connection wires to the lock bolt and indicator light — Error: The alarm bell will ring loudly and continuously.
2. Install the lock bolt and bolt positioning plate in the same direction (Wi-Fi symbol) on both accessories — Error: The bolt will not function.
3. Reverse the signal wires between the indicator light and the lock bolt — Error: Unable to install. The lock bolt’s signal wire is usually slightly thicker than the wire for the indicator light, so please be mindful during installation.
4. Use cable boxes and tubing to protect signal wires on the ceiling to prevent insects from damaging the wires. Signal wires are different from power cables, and if they are cut or damaged, they can be difficult to reconnect.
