Three Door Interlock – VCRX3

Interlock locks are auxiliary devices designed to ensure that the doors of a room cannot be opened simultaneously, thus ensuring isolation between clean and non-clean areas.

APPLICATIONS OF INTERLOCK LOCKS

OPERATING DESCRIPTION

• When one door opens, the other two doors will automatically close, ensuring that all three doors cannot be opened simultaneously.
• If a door remains open for an extended period, a warning bell will sound to remind staff to close the door.
• In case of a power outage and for electronic interlock locks, all three doors can be opened, ensuring user safety.
• In emergencies, an emergency button can be pressed to force the doors open.

INSTALLATION DIAGRAM

• The interlock control unit will be installed on the ceiling panel and connected to a pre-existing socket (the shorter the distance between the control unit and the socket, the better, to match the power cable of the lock and save wiring costs).
• Indicator lights will be mounted on the wall panel, in easily observable areas for entering and exiting, usually located next to the panel door.
• The lock latch will be installed underground inside the door panel (requires drilling and concealed wiring) and can be installed on the side or above the door frame.

Additionally, there are some important points to consider during interlock lock installation:

1. Securely connect the signal cables to the lock latch and indicator light. Error Alert: The alarm will sound loudly and continuously.
2. Align the lock latch and latch locator in the same direction (Wi-Fi symbol) on both accessories. Error Alert: The latch will not operate.
3. Do not reverse the signal cables between the indicator light and the lock latch. Error Alert: Unable to install. Note that the signal cable of the lock latch is slightly larger than the cable of the indicator light; please be mindful during installation.
4. Use cable boxes and wire conduits to protect signal cables on the ceiling, preventing damage from insects. Signal cables are different from power cables, and if they are damaged or cut, they can be challenging to reconnect.
