Interlocking lock is an auxiliary device that helps ensure that the doors of a room cannot be opened simultaneously, thereby ensuring isolation between clean and non-clean areas.

APPLICATIONS OF INTERLOCKING LOCK

• Installed in the panel rooms of cleanrooms, buffer rooms, airlocks, intermediate rooms, changing rooms using indicator light systems in the fields of healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical production facilities, electronics, semiconductors, and office spaces, among others.
• Used for entrance doors, emergency exit doors, and safety doors.

OPERATING DESCRIPTION

• When one door opens, the other two doors will automatically close, ensuring that three doors cannot be opened simultaneously.
• If a door remains open for an extended period without closing, a signaling bell will ring to remind staff to close the door.
• In case of power loss and for electronic interlocking locks, all three doors can be opened to ensure user safety.
• In emergency situations, an emergency button can be pressed to forcibly open the door.

INSTALLATION DIAGRAM

• The interlocking lock control unit will be installed on the ceiling panel, connected to an available socket (the shorter the distance between the control unit and the socket, the better, to match the power cord along the lock and save wiring costs).
• The indicator lights will be mounted on the wall panel, in an easily observable area when entering/exiting, often placed beside the panel door.
• The lock latch will be installed inside the panel door (requires drilling and wiring inside), it can be installed on the side or above the door frame.

In addition, there are some important points to consider when installing interlocking locks:

1. Securely connect the signal wires to the lock latch and indicator light —> Error message: The alarm will sound loudly and continuously.
2. Install the lock latch and latch locator in the same direction (Wi-Fi symbol) on both accessories —> Error message: The latch does not work.
3. Reverse the signal wires between the light and the lock latch —> Error message: Unable to install. The signal wire of the lock latch is usually slightly larger than the wire of the light; customers need to be aware of this when installing.
4. Use wire boxes and wire conduits to protect the signal wires on the ceiling, avoiding damage from insects. Signal wires are different from power wires; if they are cut or damaged, they will be difficult to reconnect.
